Thumbnail dart frogs are some of the smallest poison dart frogs in the hobby. At adult size, most are under 1" in length, and actually fit on your thumbnail! Thumbnail dart frogs belong to the genus Ranitomeya (formerly Dendrobates), and are native to the Amazonian drainage basin, especially Peru.
