The Josh's Frogs 8x8x8 Cold Weather Shipping Kit provides you with the supplies you need to safely ship reptiles or amphibians in warmer weather conditions. At Josh's Frogs, we've used these supplies to ship frogs in weather down to 30F for years. It includes:

1. 8x8x8 Insulated Shipping Box with 1" Foam

We have these boxes custom made for us with 1" thick foam for added insulation - that's twice the thickness used by most reptile shipping companies!

2. Two Gel Packs

Gel packs help stabilize the internal temperature of the box during shipping, and provide a bit of shock absorption. We use these at the bottom of the box and at the top, below the ExoTherm and Heat Pack.

3. EcoTherm Pack

Josh's Frogs EcoTherm is a remarkable material. It changes states at 76F, which helps to buffer extreme tempertures and keep your critters cozy during shipping. In cold weather, place the EcoTherm pack in warm water until it turns liquid and clear. Place the EcoTherm Pack on top of the uppermost layer of gel packs.

4. 40 Hour Heat Pack

In cold weather, we use a heat pack to keep the EcoTherm charged for a longer period of time. You'll want to remove the plastic wrapper from the heat pack, then place it on top of the EcoTherm pack.
