Josh's Frogs recommends using purified water, such as distilled or reverse osmosis water, with your springtail cultures. If this is not possible, use Josh's Frogs Water Conditioner to treat your tap water.

Sprinke a few shakes of Josh's Frogs Spring To Life Springtail Food on the surface of your springtail culture every week.

3. Josh's Frogs 8oz Temperate Springtail Culture

Springtails are tiny arthropods (1-4 mm) and make a great supplemental food for your poison dart frogs. When you seed your tanks with springtails, they will reproduce in your terrarium, eating mold/fungus. Blow some springtails out of the 8oz culture onto the moistened charcoal. DO NOT dump the coco fiber onto the charcoal!

Charcoal is the ideal substrate for culturing springtails.
