Josh's Frogs Waterfall Kit is a great, economical way to create a waterfall in your vivarium or terrarium. Josh's Frogs Waterfall Kit includes everything you'll need to build the cascading waterfall of your dreams for your reptiles or amphibians. We do not recommend creating waterfalls in dart frog vivariums. The Waterfall Kit includes:

1. Submersible Pump

This Pump is driven by a high powered magnetic rotor and oil-free motor which works great for small hydroponic systems, aquariums and fountains. The bottom draw feature allows you to lower your reservoir tank to a minimum by drawing the water from the bottom instead of the side. The pumps have a built-in flow regulator allowing full adjustability of your water movement. One moving part allows for trouble-free quiet operation.

2. Vivarium Background Waterfall Tubing 1/2" ID (2 feet)

This rigid, reinforced tubing is perfect for use foamed into place in the background of a vivarium. Unlike other vinyl tubing, Josh's Frogs Vivarium Background Waterfall Tubing will not kink or collapse when the spray foam expands. Vivarium Background Waterfall Tubing is easy to use, colored black so it won't stand out, and sold by the foot, and has an internal diameter of 1/2".

3. Josh's Frogs False Bottom (5 Quarts)

Presenting the latest in vivarium substrate technology - Josh's Frogs False Bottom. False Bottom is the ideal bottom layer of substrate for a living terrarium or vivarium. Josh's Frogs False Bottom is environmentally friendly, made entirely of recycled material, and light weight. False Bottom retains moisture and provides a void at the bottom of your vivarium for excess water to go. Using Josh's Frogs False Bottom in a naturalistic vivarium fosters a humid environment, healthy soil conditions, and superior plant growth. You will need approximately 5 quarts of false bottom for a 10g or 12x12 base, 15 quarts for a 20H or 18x18 base, and 20 quarts of false bottom for a 20L/29G or 24x18 base.

4. Substrate Barrier (24"x18")

Josh's Frogs Substrate Barrier is a vital layer in all successful naturalistic vivaria. Substrate Barrier fits between the false bottom and ABG Mix layers, and ensures that no ABG Mix falls down into the false bottom, disrupting water flow. Josh's Frogs Substrate Barrier also prevents a clogged false bottom and the wicking of water from the false bottom into the other naturalistic vivarium substrate layers. When these substrate layers become saturated, anaerobic bacteria grow and create a smelly, very unhealthy environment. The only solution is to replace the affected naturalistic vivarium substrates with new ones. Josh's Frogs Substrate Barrier is a simple, inexpensive, and effective way to prevent this situation from happening. Each peice of Josh's Frogs Substrate Barrier measures approximately 18" x 24".

5. Josh's Frogs Pond Wall Substrate Stop

To use, place Josh's Frogs Pond Wall Substrate Stop (18"x4.5") in the enclosure. The foam may need to be cut for a snug fit - scissors or a razor blade work great! Place the substrate in the tank, ensuring that any substrate does not come under Josh's Frogs Pond Wall Substrate Stop (18"x4.5") into the water feature. In large water features, gravel, rocks, or wood may be needed to hold Josh's Frogs Pond Wall Substrate Stop (18"x4.5") in place.
