About This Product

Feed what your subadult or adult Yellow-Spotted Climbing Toad need with the Yellow-Spotted Climbing Toad Feeder Bundle from Josh's Frogs!

4 nutritious, high quality feeder insects come in this bundle, which is perfect for Yellow-Spotted Climbing Toads or other medium to large sized tree frogs and toads. It includes:

60 count Adult Crickets

Crickets have long been a staple feeder insect in the pet trade, and are accepted with gusto by may species of toads and frogs.

Black Soldier Fly Larvae, Large (50 count)

Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae are a great feeder for a wide variety of reptiles, amphibians, birds, and invertebrates. High in calcium, black soldier fly larvae are also known in the trade as Phoenix Worms, ReptiWorms, and CalciWorms. Each container of Black Soldier Fly Larvae - 50 count Large will contain at least 50 soldier fly larvae ready to feed out as soon as they arrive. Large Black Soldier Fly Larvae measure approximately 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch and make perfect feeders.

How to Feed: Feed soldier fly larvae with tongs, or in a dish. Be careful not to allow solder fly larvae to escape the dish - the larvae will burrow and pupate into adult flies. After they pupate, the larvae emerge as adult black soldier flies, which resemble small wasps. Even though they look intimidating, black soldier flies are harmless. Once the worms began to pupate (if they're not eaten by them), they'll turn black. At this stage, the larvae contain a LOT of calcium, and should be quickly fed to your pets.

How to Store: Soldier Fly Larvae can be kept at room temperature, but keeping them at 50-55F will keep them in the larval stage much longer. Remember, black soldier fly larvae can still be fed out after they pupate. Adult flies can also be fed out!

50 count Waxworms

High in fat, waxworms make for a great treat, or as a way to put extra weight on your pet Yellow Spotted Climbing Toad.

House Fly Pupae (50 count)

Musca domestica, the common House Fly, are a delicious enrichment food for your reptile or amphibian friend! The flight of House Flies will keep your scaly friend entertained and stimulated as well as provide a suitable food source. House Flies are about 8-12 millimeters in their adult form making them a great size for a variety of reptiles, amphibians, fish, and birds. Josh's Frogs House Fly Pupae (50 count) contains a healthy overcount, as not all pupae will hatch into flies. The pupae are packaged in a small deli cup with wheat bran.

How to Feed: House Flies are fast! To make House Flies easier to move, place them in the fridge for a few minutes. This will slow them down enough that they will not fly out when the container lid is open. Shake the House Flies into your enclosure and watch your reptile chase after their tasty treat! Any House Flies left over should be removed or else they may breed and lay eggs in your enclosure.

How to Store: When you receive your House Flies they will be in pupae form. The pupae should be stored in the fridge until you are ready to contain and feed off flies. Be cautious about leaving them in the fridge for too long. The longer House Fly pupae are in the fridge the lower the numbers of flies will hatch out. To hatch flies, simply place the pupae in a container at room temperature. Flies should emerge in 3-7 days. The longer the storage time, the few flies will hatch out. Try to use all pupae within a couple weeks.
