DISCLAIMER: Our Orange Heads may come with Buffalo beetles (Alphitobius diaperinus), also known as lesser mealworms. Buffalo beetles will not harm Orange Heads, and will in fact eat decaying organic matter such as old food and dead roaches to help keep your Orange Head colony clean and healthy.

Adult Orange Head Roaches are a great large feeder for adult bearded dragons or similarly sized insectivores. Easy to care for, nutritious, and easy to breed, Orange Head roaches are a convenient way to provide your pet reptiles and amphibians with a delicious bug meal. If you're looking to purchase adult Orange Head roaches for feeding, purchase males. They're less expensive and make a great meal. For breeding, purchase males and females in a 1:3 ratio (IE  5 males and 15 females). The roaches will produce offspring in a few months. Many females we ship are already full of babies!

Male Orange Head roaches have 3 smaller scales on the bottom end of their abdomen, while Female Orange Head roaches have a single scale.

Our Orange Head roaches are sorted by hole size in sorting bins, then packaged based on weight. Because of this, the size and number of roaches will vary slightly. We weigh in your favor - you will receive more Orange Heads than you've ordered! There may be the occasional tiny Orange Head baby mixed in - those are on us!

Josh's Frogs has the proper USDA permits in place to legally ship Orange Head Roaches across state lines. We've done the legwork and can ship Orange Head roaches to all US states except Florida. As long as you do not live in Florida, you can legally order and receive Orange Head roaches from Josh's Frogs. A copy of the relevant permits is available via email upon ordering.
