About This Product

Aloe vera is widely used as an ingredient in creams, cosmetics and also used for it's medicinal properties. 'White Beauty' grows in a clump with thick leaves that store water. Plant in a quick draining, sandy soil or a succulent soil mix. Water only when soil becomes dry as over watering will quickly rot and kill Aloe vera 'White Beauty'. This plant is drought tolerant.

This aloe will grow well in a container garden, terrarium or as a houseplant. Make sure to place 'White Beauty' in direct sun or in bright, artificial light during the day. If kept in an enclosed terrarium, keep in bright indirect light instead of direct sunlight as the inside of the terrarium will heat up to temperatures too high for this plant. Water only when soil is dry and be careful not to over water. If planted in container without drainage holes, use a drainage layer below the soil level to prevent the plant from sitting in water. Aloe vera 'White Beauty' is a terrestrial succulent and should be planted in the substrate. It will grow from 6-12", so keep this in mind when planting in your desert vivarium. 'White Beauty' requires bright light and has low water needs. It prefers dry, well drained soil or substrate. Do not allow standing water on the leaves. This plant does not require air movement or ventilation as long as standing water is not present on its leaves. It will grow fairly broad, long leaves in a naturalistic vivarium and will make a great foreground plant in larger desert vivaria, or background plant in smaller desert vivaria. Josh's Frogs recommends washing all plants thoroughly removing as much soil as possible with dechlorinated water before placing them in their final home. Live plants from Josh's Frogs are treated ony with products that are OMRI Listed© for use in organic production. Live plants may vary in color, size and appearance.

Cool Aloe

I had not heard of this type of Aloe and quite frankly the picture does not do it justice. My plant had severe spillage of soil and had to be repotted immediately. so I took off a star. However the plant I received already had a "baby" Aloe which was a happy surprise. I would recommend this wholeheartedly, as I believe the spillage was a fluke (my other plants were packaged well).
