Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' is an attractive vining Dischidia that is related to Milkweed, and extrudes a whitish, sticky sap when leaves or stems are broken. Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' makes an attractive addition to any vivarium that meets it's needs, and readily produces small, white flowers year round.

Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' is a vining plant, and as such should be planted in the background or back areas of the vivarium, where it will cover the background and hardscape in it's quest for light.

Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' has very low water needs, and cannot be planted in soggy soil. We recommend planting Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' in a well-draining substrate. Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' should be allowed to dry out a bit between waterings. Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' has a moderate light requirement, but will grow better (and develop red leaves!) under intense light. Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' is a moderate to slow growing vining plant. Dischidia ruscifolia 'Million Hearts' makes a great accent plant and background cover in a naturalistic vivarium.
