Beautiful and unique plant mounts from Josh’s Frogs are one-of-a-kind pieces of art and will enhance the look of any vivarium and provide natural cover for animals. Depending on the type of plant, some mounts can be displayed on a wall or table as living art and will thrive in normal household environments.

Mounting plants can be tricky and time-consuming, taking weeks or even months for the roots to grab on securely. Here at Josh’s Frogs, we grow the mounts out at our greenhouse until the roots are firmly attached to the background and the fishing line can be removed. This allows them to be placed directly in the vivarium without fear of animals getting caught up in the fishing line. Some of our mounts also come with hooks on the back that can be easily removed if you don’t need them. Mounts may be shipped with fishing line, rubber bands, or other materials to secure the plants during shipping and prevent breakage.

Care Notes: Like most ferns, regular misting of the fronds is beneficial for growth.

Instructions for removing fishing line or rubber bands:

 Fishing Line:

1. Place mount/tube on even surface.
2. Using scissors, carefully cut a straight line across the fishing line.
3. Gently hold down the plant against the wood while slowly pulling each piece of fishing line away from the plant.

Rubber Band:

1. Using scissors, carefully cut rubber bands and remove them from the mount.
