These air plants have been hand-selected and planted securely in a conch shell and are ready to bring a unique nautical flair to your home, office, or terrarium.

Air plants have made their way into the homes and hearts of many hobbyists and casual gardeners. These fascinating plants do not require soil to grow, instead, they can be found growing in the nooks of tropical trees throughout Southeast Mexico and the vast majority of Central America. In the home, they can grow potted in sphagnum moss or simply be left bare root.

This listing is for three (3) planted shells. Shells are collected from wild sources and vary in size, shape, and appearance. 

Air Plant Care Requirements: 

Species Name: Tillandsia spp. 

Common Names: Air Plant, Tilly, Sky Plant 

Temperature requirement: Above 50°F

Humidity: Dry (0-30%)   Moderate (30-70%)   Humid (70-100%)

Watering frequency: Mist regularly; at least once a week. Do not submerge shell in water. 

Lighting:  Full Shade     Partial Shade      Full Sun

Soil type: Can be ‘rooted’ to secure its place in sphagnum moss or coarse soil. Nutrient uptake is done thru the leaves.
