This kit contains everything you need for the care of Day Geckos - just add a 29G terrarium! This size kit is perfect for larger species, such as Grandis or Standing's Day Geckos.

It includes:

1. Josh's Frogs Coco Select Substrate

Josh's Frogs Coco Select substrate is made from quality, fine ground coconut fiber and other materials. Coconut fiber is excellent for holding humidity and is very easily cleaned.

2. Artificial Jungle Vines

These Jungle Vines can be bent and twisted in any fashion, providing great perching, climbing, and resting areas for your pet Day gecko.

3. Water Dish

This Water Dish is actually ideal to serve your pet Day gecko it's dinner! Made from durable epoxy, this dish is easy to clean.

4. Artificial Plants

Artificial Plants serve multiple functions in your pet Day gecko's enclosure. Not only do they provide hiding and climbing spaces, but plastic plants also collect water droplets and give your Day gecko a place to drink, as well as just look good!

5.Digital Thermometer and Hygrometer

Being dependent on their environment for their temperature needs, it is important to keep your Day gecko at it's proper temperature. Ideally, the basking spot temperature on the warm end should be about 95F during the day. At night, the temperature can easily drop to 70F, as long as the Day gecko has the ability to raise it's body temperature the next day.

Humidity can be a little trickier with geckos. Too low of a humidity, and the lizard can have trouble shedding – the shed will come off in patches, or become stuck to the animal, instead of coming off in one clean piece with proper humidity. Too high humidity, and the gecko can develop respiratory problems. Generally, an ambient humidity of 60-70% is fine with Day geckos, as long as a clean bowl of water is present at all times. The enclosure can be misted with dechlorinated, distilled, or reverse osmosis water to increase ambient humidity.

6. Josh's Frogs Spray Bottle (16 oz)

In their natural habitat, Day geckos get moisture from their diet, as well as from morning dew. To replicate this dew, lightly spray the enclosure every night. Make sure to use declorinated, reverse osmosis, or distilled water.

7. Josh’s Frogs Dechlorinator (4 oz)

Use with water to pull out harmful chlorine. This will help provide the best water for your pet.

8. Basking Bulb and Dome Lamp

All day geckos will need access to a warm basking spot in their enclosure, and do best a bit warmer than most of us keep our homes. This basking bulb and dome lamp will take care of both! This basking bulb will maintain a basking spot in the mid 90s. Use the included thermometer to double check temps, and make sure the cool end is between 75 and 80F. Nighttime temps can be as low as 70F before worrying about additional heat. Run the lights for 12 hours a day.

9. 30”x12” Screen Top

A screen top provides adequate ventilation for the animal, while insuring that it does not escape, or other pets/children do not easily get in to the habitat.

10. Fluorescent UVB Fixture and Bulb

This bulb and fixture will ensure your day gecko gets much needed UVA and UVB rays. In the wild, day geckos bask to warm up and absorb UV. This is responsible for their bright coloration, and aids in calcium usage from their diet. Run the lights for 12 hours a day. Make sure to replace the UVB bulb every 6 months.

11. Bamboo (2 pieces)

Bamboo is a great climbing and hiding structure for day geckos. This bamboo can easily be cut to fit inside the cage, and is a great way to provide more usable structure for your geckos.
